Temple Explanation
Myodenji Temple is said to have been founded in 1381 (Eitoku 1) in Yanagawa, Chikugo, by Honjo-in Nichien. Initially, it was called Enri-in. In 1603 (Keicho 8), which marked the 350th anniversary of the establishment of Nichiren Buddhism, during the tenure of the 18th head priest, Kaikoin Nisshu, Komono Masutoki, a retainer of Tachibana Muneshige, a local influential figure, relocated the temple to its current location. It was reestablished both as a center for the Lotus Sutra in Hakata and as the family temple of the Komono family.Address

Lighting Point
The term ‘Mori’ (grove) is not just an ordinary forest; it often carries the connotation of a sacred place. Drawn by the light emanating from this grove, as you venture deeper, you can hear the bustle of the gods from the shrine… We aimed to create a lighting design that sparks curiosity and makes people want to take a closer look. We hope everyone can enjoy it along with the gods illuminated by the light.
